Adam Goodwin, the effervescent, limelight hogging, lead guitarist in fishonastick has been sacked for allowing his phone to ring during rehearsals.

The awkward moment was caught on camera last Thursday. Halfway through some tune or other, Goodwin’s phone can clearly be heard to ring out, putting the kibosh on another less than promising rendition of the completely unheard of classic entitled “you must have enough”.

Shortly after the embarrassing error, Goodwin and Shaw were seen by a member of the rhythm section, arguing near the tea urn. That person, who asked not to be identified, told us,

“It was absolute chaos! One minute they were bickering like the pathetic non-drummers they are, and the next they were brawling all over the bourbons like baboons”.

Despite not being asked, Shaw contacted us to let us know he was unavailable for comment. He then apparently called us again and told us the same thing, but we had no idea who he was. He then contacted us again by email with his name at the bottom so we would know who he was. He wrote….

“Over the years I’ve shared hundreds of stages, empty venues and ill-conceived pieces of poorly disguised click-bait with Adam Goodwin. Today, regrettably, I have to tell you that Adam and I are no longer speaking. Rehearsals can be a high pressure environment. It’s only by having strict band rules that we have managed to maintain the quality of our output throughout the years. For that, I make no apology and (as I’ve said over and over to the subscribers on our mailing list) offer no refunds. I wish Adam the worst of luck and hope he trips over a kerb or something, the big arse!!!”

Adam Goodwin was unavailable for comment but instead responded by doing this to Shaw’s 4-gang.

Shaw is now said to be in counselling. To be continued…….
